| And another color...chrome :) Another local guy, Eric (member 300zx90 (CO)) needed some powder coating done. I had a few things to do for my engine so we met up this weekend to get it all done. We did his valve covers in bright red. I've posted this color before, but he'll post his pics as I didn't get any of those. Eric brought over a few new colors to try as well. First was a Single Stage Chrome. It's made to go on by itself. It looks nice, has a stainless bolt look to it. Not really dull, but not really shiny either. We did a test piece and moved onto the next color. He also bought some Reflective Chrome. This is made to be used with a clear pc (he brought this as well) over it to help bring out the "bling". We tested out the Reflective chrome by itself first. We were very impressed. For being just pc, it turned out pretty damn good. Has a nice shine to it. Nothing like real chrome, but close enough for us. Next we tried a piece with a coat of clear over it. I've never had much luck with dual layer pc applications. Never seem to turn out, and of course this was no exception. The clear seemed to make the chrome more dull looking. We thought maybe we put too much on at first. We tried it again with less and it was pretty much the same result. So we skipped the clear and just left it as a single layer of Reflective Chrome. Onto the pics: Overall shot of the chrome stuff we did. The motor mounts and brackets are mine. On my last engine these were all bare, just media blasted. Figured since we had the chrome pc, why not use it :)

Stuff for my engine. Chrome stuff and the same Ford Dark Blue I have been using.
Cleaned up the side brackets, removing the extra material that's used for mounting the stock boost solenoids.
New style fuel rails as I switched to the 740's. I had AN fittings welded onto the ends.
Also had some AN fittings for my PCV set up welded onto the valve covers this time around instead of drilling/tapping them like last time. Cleaned up the welds a bit and coated over it all.
Also did some parts for my roommate Josh (GreyZX). His color blue is different than mine. Don't know the name, but it has a bit of a purple-ish tint to it that helps it to match the Samco hoses. We did more parts than are show below, but we had some issues and need to redo some of it.

Getting closer to having things ready for Zcon. Mike Smith manifolds should be here any day (they are in the mail). Plenum and stuff is down with Kyle getting re-polished. And Tom is working on my IC set up. Hope to have it all together by May 1st.
